OKC Municipal Court Traffic Records

The OKC Municipal Court handles misdemeanor traffic offenses, parking violations, criminal offenses, and code violations that fall under city ordinances. It is separate from the state court system. If an Oklahoma City police officer wrote your ticket, this is almost certainly where your case lives. The court is located at 701 Couch Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73102. Office hours run Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Customer service hours extend from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays. The main phone number is (405) 297-3898.

The OKC Municipal Court website is the starting point for most people who need to look up a traffic case or pay a fine. The court handles a large volume of cases each year. Walk-in traffic is common, so arriving early in the day tends to mean shorter wait times. Parking is available near the court building.

Note: Jury Division cases and Juvenile cases require an in-person court appearance and are not eligible for online payment or resolution.

The OKC Ticket Lookup tool lets you search traffic court records by several methods. You can search by case number, driver's license number, name (Last, First format), parking ticket number, date of birth, citation number, docket number, warrant number, license plate, or VIN. There is also a similar-sounding name option if you are not sure of the exact spelling. The lookup is available at app.okc.gov ticket lookup.

This tool shows you the status of your case, any fines owed, court dates, and whether a warrant has been issued. It covers parking tickets as well as moving violations. If your ticket does not show up right away, wait 48 to 72 hours after receiving it before searching. Processing time can vary.

For district court records on tickets issued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol or county sheriff, use OSCN (Oklahoma State Courts Network). Municipal court citations from OKC are not on OSCN. They are only accessible through the city's own lookup system.

Paying Oklahoma City Traffic Fines

The OKC Municipal Court offers several ways to pay a fine. Online payment is available 24 hours a day with no processing fee. You can also pay by phone at (405) 297-3898 during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Mail payments go to OKC Municipal Court, P.O. Box 26487, Oklahoma City, OK 73126-0487. Send a check or money order with your ticket number on it.

One important thing to know: paying a traffic fine online may constitute a conviction. That means it can show up on your driving record and potentially affect your insurance. If you have concerns about that, consider appearing in person or speaking with an attorney before you pay. Construction zone and school zone violations carry doubled fines under Oklahoma law. Accumulating 10 or more points on your Oklahoma driving record leads to a license suspension.

Jury Division cases and Juvenile cases are handled differently. These require a personal appearance in court. You cannot pay them online or by phone. If you are unsure whether your case falls into one of these categories, call the court at (405) 297-3898 before your court date.

Oklahoma County District Court Traffic Records

If your ticket was written by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper or an Oklahoma County sheriff's deputy, your case is in the Oklahoma County District Court, not the city court. The court clerk for Oklahoma County is Rick Warren. The office is at 320 Robert S. Kerr Avenue, Room 500, Oklahoma City, OK 73102. Traffic court sessions begin at 9:00 AM in Room 101.

You can search Oklahoma County District Court records on OSCN. Select Oklahoma County from the drop-down list and search by case number or party name. For traffic tickets in the district court, online credit card payments are not accepted. The cardholder must be present. Visit the Oklahoma County Court Clerk traffic tickets page for current information on how to handle district court citations.

You can also use the OSCN e-payments portal to pay eligible fines online through the state system. Not all citations qualify, so confirm your case is eligible before attempting payment.

Oklahoma Traffic Law and Record Resources

Oklahoma traffic violations get reported to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, which maintains your driving record. Every court in the state is required to send violation data to DPS within a set number of days after final disposition. If you received a ticket and are worried about points or your license status, the DPS driving record system can show you where things stand.

The Oklahoma State Courts Network covers district court cases across all 77 counties. It is a free public access tool. Municipal court cases like those handled by OKC Municipal Court do not appear here. For those, use the city's own lookup portal. The Oklahoma Distant Court Records (ODCR) system is another option for searching state court filings. Oklahoma traffic statutes, including information on fines and moving violations, are available through Justia Oklahoma Title 47.
